Bioengineering Research and Development Centre Kragujevac, Serbia – BioIRC (www.bioirc.ac.rs) is SME devoted to software development for various problems in biomedical engineering. BioIRC achieves significant results in the field of bioengineering that are prominent at the national and international level. BioIRC is carrying a number of international scientific projects in the field of software development and artificial intelligence. The associates of the center participated in over 10 national and 20 international projects (FP7, COST, Horizon2020, SCOPES).
Prof. dr Nenad Filipović, Full Professor: Prof. dr Nenad Filipović is a principal investigator and a full professor in the area of biomedical engineering. He is the author and co-author of 6 textbooks and 3 monographs in English, the author and co-author of over 400 publications, over 240 scientific papers in peer reviewed journals. Prof. Filipovic is also a PI of scientific program for Bioengineering, PI and Co-PI of many national and international scientific projects.
Dr Tijana Geroski (maiden name Šušteršič) is a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac, Kragujevac, Serbia and is also affiliated with Bioengineering research and Development Center (BioIRC). She is the author and co-author of 17 papers published in peer review journals, 3 book chapters and more than 30 papers presented at the international conferences. Her area of expertise includes biomedical signal processing, machine and deep learning algorithms.
Lazar Dašić is a Junior Research Associate at the Bioengineering Research and Development Center (BioIRC), Kragujevac. He is a first year PhD student in Electrical Engineering and Computing at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac. He is currently working on applications of Artificial Intelligence on biomedical data and application of computer vision in 3D intraoperative navigation systems.
Ognjen Pavić is a Junior Research Associate at the Bioengineering Research and Development Center (BioIRC), Kragujevac. He is a first year PhD student of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac. His area of expertise is application of image processing and deep learning methods in medicine.
University Clinical Center Kragujevac – CCKG (https://ukck.rs/) is a tertiary health institution, as one of the four highest level health institutions in the country. University Clinical Center Kragujevac performs highly specialized, specialist – consultative and inpatient health activities from several fields of medicine. At the Kragujevac University Clinical Center, more than 410,000 outpatient examinations are performed annually, specialized treatment is provided for approximately 41,000 hospital patients, and more than 20,000 operations are performed. The University Clinical Center Kragujevac carries out both educational and scientific research activities.
Prof. dr Marina Petrović, M.D., Ph.D., a pulmonologist, is a full professor of Internal medicine of Faculty of Medical Sciences University of Kragujevac, deputy director of University Clinical Centre Kragujevac for the field of internal medicine and a director of Clinic for pulmonology of University Clinical Centre Kragujevac. She is the author of a large number of works in the field of pulmonology and other areas of internal medicine. She is a participant in several scientific projects and she has experience in the field of drug clinical trials, being the principal investigators, too. She is a member of the Association of Pulmonologists of Serbia and the European Respiratory Association.
Prof. dr Dragan Milovanović, M.D, Ph.D. is a clinical pharmacologist, full professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Faculty of Medical Sciences and deputy director for the organization of medical logistics at the University Clinical Centre in Kragujevac. He has about two decades of experience in working on and managing of various duties, including study programs and curricula, mentorships, editorial boards of scientific journals, governing bodies of professional associations. He is a member of the Serbian Medical Association as well as the Serbian Pharmacological Society which also includes the memberships of some international associations of basic and clinical pharmacologists.
Dr Danijela Baskic, M.D., is a radiologist at the Department for radiology of University Clinical Centre Kragujevac. She is a participant in several ongoing drug clinical trials (Phase III trial, Multiple Myeloma; Open-label, randomised trial to evaluate efficacy and safety of MOR00208 with bendamustine versus rituximab. She is a member of the Association of Radiologist of Serbia and the European Radiology Association.
